Types of IELTS exam
The IELTS Academic test is one of two versions of the exam, the other being the IELTS General Training test. The IELTS Academic exam is intended for candidates who wish to study at the undergraduate or postgraduate level, or who wish to work in a professional sector that needs a high level of English language ability. The UK government accepts the IELTS for UKVI exam as proof of English language proficiency for visa, settlement, and citizenship applications. In terms of content and score, it is identical to the normal IELTS exam, but it is delivered differently and the test results are submitted to the UK government.
